Its that time of the year again, leagues and championships have come to a close and the one thing all football fans are looking forward to is the transfer window. News and rumors of transfers slowly began before the close of the season and now they are pouring in daily as football headlines focus on clubs looking to improve their squads for the upcoming season. These are some of the biggest rumored transfers that have been buzzing in the last weeks:
Antoine Griezmann to join Manchester United
This is a widespread rumour that has been going on for quite a while now. Reports from the press in Madrid, England and beyond claim say that the french star has voiced out that his need to join a Champions League winning club. So as far as the rumour goes, Griezemann wants to leave Atletico Madrid and Manchester United are willing to folk out top Euro as signing the striker is one of their priorities. Reports also say that the only thing holding back the negotiations was that the English team wouldn’t be playing next seasons Champions league, a tournament Griezmann wanted to keep participating in. But since the Red Devils won the UEFA Europa league and a spot in the next UCL, it appears the path is clear for the Antoine to join the squad under José Mourinho. But what we do know for sure is that Griezemann has come out to say that he hates England weather and a couple of days ago after Manchester United secured their spot in the UCL, Griezmann told a French TV channel that his chances of going to Manchester were “6 out of 10”, which we suspect was him just trolling them for finishing at 6th position that they were stuck at for most of the season.
Kylian Mbappe to Manchester United, Real Madrid or Manchester city
Kylian Mbappe is the prey all major clubs are hunting down. The young star who is currently signed to Monaco is rumoured to being targeted by both Manchester rivals, United as well as the Spanish champions, who seem to hold an advantage over the negotiations, Real Madrid. Reports from the French media have said that the young star has a deep admiration for fellow Frenchman and Real Madrid Manager, Zinedine Zidane and has even told family and friends that his wishes is to be a Madridista.
This is less of a rumour and more of a confirmed signing that Manchester City has signed the young star, Bernado Silva. Monaco has sold Silva, who brilliantly participated with the French team this last UCL season, will be swapping his red jersey for blue as he prepares to join the squad led by Pep guardiola. The Portuguese winger has reportedly moved over a 43 million pounds transaction.
Aubameyang close to signing deal with PSG
According to reports from Fox Sports, the striker Pierre Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund is about to close a deal to join Paris Saint Germain for the next season. Apparently the deal will be closed after a transfer sum of 70 million pounds, making the Gabon born player the most expensive transfer in the french club’s history.

American defender John Brooks has set a new record transfer fee after moving to Wolfsburg from Hertha Berlin. The USMNT center back has been confirmed to be moving out of the German capital for a transfer sum of 22,5 million dollars.
Lyon makes a move for Chicharito Hernández
Recent reports from the French journal L’equipe state that Olympique de Lyon has made a bid to Bayer Leverkusen for the Mexican striker, Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez. However, according to German magazine Kicker, the Germans have yet to accept the offer. Reports also state that given the fact that Leverkusen is out of all European competition for the next season, the Mexican star would be looking to leave as he had said before that playing in European cups is vital for him and since Olympique de Lyon will be participating in the next edition of the UEFA Europa League, this rumour is most likely to be true.
Mourinho looking to Improve his squad with two other big stars
Besides the interest in Mmbape as mentioned before, Jose Mourinho has reportedly told his bosses at Manchester United to make bids for Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez and Argentinian sensation from Juventus Paulo Dybala. According to Spanish magazine Don balon, the Portuguese manager has made signing James Rodriguez another top priority at the club. Not only that, but the reports also state that he has told the club’s directors that “whoever manages to sign Dybala will dominate football in the next years.” It is expected by the media that Manchester United starts pushing for a transfer from Juventus after the UCL final.
Eden Hazard from the English champions to the Spanish champions
Reports from the English journal The Sun state that La Liga champions Real Madrid will soon bid for Belgian star Eden Hazard. Los Blancos will reportedly be trying to break a world record fee to acquire the services of the Chelsea winger by offering 100 million pounds.
Alvaro Morata leaving the Real Madrid once again
According to the Gazetta Dello Sport from Italy, AC Milan are targeting Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and will make a bid for him to be transferred to their squad in the upcoming weeks. Reports from the Spanish press also mention this possible move and emphasize the high probability of this happening due to the low amount of playing time the player would have if he stayed with Real Madrid.
